Get Well Soon

This is a Get-Well Soon card I made for a friend who has been ill and in hospital.  I think the play on words is too cute!!  The stamp is from an older, retired Stampin' Up set.  Colouring is done with my Copic Markers.  The card base is white dot Bazzill Cardstock, then the image is matted on a random piece of brown cardstock along with patterned paper I had on hand.  The ribbon is from Walmart and the flower brads are from Stampin' Up.  Hope you are feeling better soon, Karen... :o)

April Kreations Klub 2012

These are our Creations from Kreations Klub on Saturday.  I absolutely love the DSP from Stampin' Up in their Spring Flier.  I think this is a must-have for my paper stash!!

The first card was made using scraps of paper making almost a quilt-like pattern.  Great way to use up those scraps of lovely DSP!!  We added ribbon from the same Spring Flier. Matted the image on green cardstock (don't know the name), trimmed the top edge with a SU paper punch and add the Happy Birthday Sentiment with buttons!!  Love it!!
The 2nd card is made using flowers stamped from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set with white craft ink from SU in the background which have been outlined with a Versamark Pen to create the Versamark Shadowing effect.  Then we stamped flowers, popped them and added buttons and a "Thank You" Sentiment.  All from SU.  The grey cardstock base really makes the shadowing technique pop!!
The 3rd card is a special fold card with the Butterfly holding the top of the card down.  Again we used the beautiful DSP from SU, stamped the flowers, punched them out, added blingy brads, popped them on the top fold and added the butterfly with pearls added.  Love this card!!!

Mayflowers

I picked these lovely Mayflowers today in our yard.  These are my favourite flower.  They are sitting right in front of me on my computer desk so I can enjoy them while I am working.  Can't you almost smell them?  Enjoy!!  :o)

Random Cards from Girls Night Out!!

This is a simple Easter Card I made for my Brother and Sister-in-Law.  Very simple with the pretty background paper, Happy Easter Sentiment cut out of a piece of printed paper and the stamped flower image with a clear stamp from the Beauty Stems set from Inkadinkado in Momento Black Ink and coloured with Copic Markers.  Added a piece of random purple ribbon.
This is an Easter Card I made for my Secret Sister (hope she is not checking out this blog!!).  I picked up this DSP from Basic Grey Origins for .50 at a clear out sale!!  Gotta love those sales!!!   I loved the Springy look of the paper.  The Sentiment is an Our Daily Bread Stamp (can't remember the name) from an Easter Set stamped with Versafine Black Ink.  The DSP is mounted on green Bazzill Cardstock with some bling, white organdy ribbon and a flower stick pin for embellishments.
This is a Thank You Card I made with the same paper as above for a lovely Sister who is a wonderful blessing in my life.  The flower is the new Blossom Punch from Stampin' Up punched out of the DSP and matted with a piece of Old Olive Cardstock from SU.  The Sentiment is stamped on Ivory Cardstock cut out with the Top Note Die from SU and the stamp is from Inkadinkado with a button and white organdy ribbon added for embellishments.
This is a card I made for friends of ours who are expecting their first baby in May.  We are all so excited for  P. AJ and Julia...babies truly are a wonderful blessing!!!  I used the same DSP as the previous cards (can you tell I was on a roll??) with the image embossed with a folder and run through the Cuttlebug on a light green Bazzill Cardstock.  This is a very simple card so I added some blink from the Dollar Store and Cranberry Crisp Ribbon from SU.  Can't wait for this little bundle to arrive!!! :o)

Jason's Birthday Card

This is the Birthday Card I made for Jason's 29th  Birthday celebration on Good Friday.  I love how the somewhat romantic background paper goes with the outline of the Motorcycle stamped on Ivory Cardstock and matted with Black Bazzill Cardstock.  I also added the leather photo corners to make the card a bit more masculine and topped it off with medium sized black brads and black Momento Ink.
