HSCRC2013 - Hymn # 2 - It Is Well With My Soul

This is my 6"x6" page for the Hymn and Scripture Challenge this week.  The Hymn Patter chose for us to study about was "It Is Well With My Soul".  Please go to www.triplethescraps.com for the history and devotional with scriptures.  It was very interesting to learn the history of where this song came from.  I have included a copy of the original hand-written hymn as well as the score and lyrics which we are familiar with.  The Scripture I chose to focus on is Psalm 66:16..."Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for my soul."  I pray you know the Lord and His healing power.  Many blessings on you !!!  Cindy

Kreations Klub Challenge - Swallow Tail

 This is my creation for our Kreations Klub Challenge using the Swallow Tail Stamp from Stampin' Up.  I created a Shadow Box using a background paper from DCWV - The Four Seasons Stack.  I then added flowers from Essentials, Brads from Recollections, Die Cut Butterflies which I had put in Butterfly folders and ran them through the Cuttlebug, random bling, ribbon from Celebrate It (Michaels) and the 'Joy" which the ribbon runs through is a random piece of hardware I have had in my stash for a long time.  I painted the Shadow Box with the new colour I have painted my kitchen - Wave Pool.  I believe I will hang this in my dining room as the dark blue of the hydrangeas matches perfectly the wall colour.

Kreations Klub - January, 2013

This photo is of the Swallow Tail Stamp from Stampin' Up which has been embossed.  This is a challenge which Ruthie gave us today at Kreations Klub.  We stamped the image using Versamark and then Wild Wasabe embossing powder from Stampin' Up heated with the heat tool also from Stampin' Up.  We have been challenged to be creative in using this image in a project of our choice.  Stay tuned...I will upload my project when it is finished.  Love the Wild Wasabe colour!!!

 These are the card projects we made today at Kreations Klub.  Beautiful cardstock, DSP, stamped images, embossing folders and embellishments, all from Stampin' Up.

HSCRC2013 - Hymn # 1, "Lift High The Cross"

This is my submission for the Triple The Scraps Hymn & Scripture Challenge for 2013 - January 13, 2013.  The Hymn Patter chose to focus on for this week's study was "Lift High The Cross".  This is a wonderful Hymn of the Faith proclaiming our Lord and Saviour.  The Scripture verses I chose proclaiming Christ and praising Him every day are Psalm 40:9-10 NIV.

HSCRC13 - Album Cover Page

I am so excited about starting the Hymn & Scripture Challenge 2013 on Sunday that I could not wait any longer and created the Cover Page for my Album.  The Scripture at the bottom of the page is a special verse which is part of my testimony as a Christian.  Psalm 28:7  "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped.  My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song."

Sympathy Cards

I have found myself in need of Sympathy Cards so sat down last night in my craft space and created these cards.  It is a blessing to me to be able to perhaps bless others with these cards which are created from my heart with inspiration from knowing the people who will receive them.  All of the Sentiment Stamps are from Stampin' Up as well as most of the DSP.  The Flowers are from Making Memories with random embellishments.  I made the Stick Pin using Swarovski Crystals which I found at Bargain Harley's for 44% off after Christmas with the stick pin itself being purchased from WalMart.  This was a wonderful find!!!  Hope you enjoy!!

MOJO275

These are two cards I made for dear friends who are celebrating Birthdays this Friday.  So much fun to have them celebrating on the same day.  The inspiration for the cards came from the Mojo Monday 275 sketch this week.  I used craft paper as the card base, the DSP is from Stampin' Up as well as the Sentiment, the coloured cardstock is from Bazzill, the ribbon is from Michaels with random bling.  Happy Birthday Angie and Yvonne!!  Many blessings to you both!!

Hymn & Scripture Challenge 2013 - Triple The Scraps

I have decided to participate in Patter Cross' Hymn & Scripture Challenge 2013 at http://triplethescraps.blogspot.com.  This is a year long challenge which will have us looking at Hymns of the Faith, learning about the composer, the origin of the hymn, devotions and searching for scripture which the Lord lays on our hearts.  We will then design a layout, using these elements to create a Scrapbook of sorts....the creation can take any form... 6 x 6...8 x 8....12 x 12...etc., whatever you would like to create.  Please check out Patter's blog as noted above to read through the description of the challenge.  We will be starting on Sunday, January 13, 2013.  I  love music and especially the wonderful hymns of our faith.  I am looking forward to studying and seeing what the Lord will impress upon me through His Word.  I challenge you to participate in this challenge as well.  Maybe we can even get together at some point to work on our pages together.  Nothing beats getting a bunch of ladies together to scrap, chat and of course snack!!  Blessings on ya!!!  Oh, and Happy New Year!!!
